Gluten-free PF Chang’s Review

This weekend was parent’s weekend at Creighton! My mom and I had a fabulous weekend shopping and enjoying the Omaha hot-spots. Yes, there are things to see in Omaha haha.  It was so good just be able to catch up and spend time together. It had been too long!

We also spent lots of time eating :) . Back home, we have no gluten-free restaurants so we always like to sample the Omaha food scene when she is here. So far in Omaha, I have found three restaurants that I trust eating at: PF Changs, McFoster’s Natural Kind Café (review coming soon) and Blue Planet Natural Grill (review coming soon). This weekend, we frequented PF Changs twice and Natural Kind once. Needless to say, I was a very lucky girl and my tummy was very happy with all the love that it got.

I love PF Chang’s because they are so conscious of their gluten-free eaters and their food and service are both so consistent. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and is always quick to make sure they place both gluten and gluten-free soy sauce on the table. The gluten-free of course being in the red dish. Plus, the food is always great and I have never had an issue with cross-contamination.

The first day I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan. In the past, I have ordered the Caramel Mango Chicken, but I was looking to try something new. I am glad I did because it was super tasty!

So good!

The second time around I found my new favorite dish – Chang’s Spicy Chicken. The chicken was a perfect combination of sweet, sour and heat. It was heavenly. I will be ordered this many, many of times in the near future.

The picture doesn’t do it justice!

Monday it was back to reality and cooking my own meals! I was sad to see my mommy go, but knowing I will be home in less than a month for Fall Break helps put me at ease. Stayed tuned for more restaurant reviews! :)
